Father-of-two, Dave Turner of Queens Crescent, Wallsend, is about to release his first single nationally next month in an attempt to raise money for the Baby Peter Tribute and the Real Fathers for Justice.

Dave wrote the lyrics for his debut release “Say Goodbye” during the time he was separated from his children and based the words on his own personal experiences during this time.

He said: “The song’s lyrics take you through all the emotions you go through as a parent. I wrote the lyrics through my own personal experiences of being separated from my kids. It’s been described as a living bereavement when you are denied contact to your children, I can certainly testify that.

“I’m still involved in the legal process so I can’t go into details about my personal case, but I feel strongly that the legal system surrounding neglected children and separated parents needs to be reformed.”

The single, which was produced by the James Vargas group, will be available ifrom April 27
